In a new post, IronSight, the Creative Director, Programming Director, and Executive Producer of Valiance Online has revealed that this superhero MMORPG is heading towards alpha and disclosed the business model – Valiance Online will be free-to-play. It will, as usual, include “premium accounts with various perks, and launch with a few special launch packs.” How did Silverhelm Studios came to this decision? “After many consultations, research and studying, our management team has concluded that it’s the best fit for the product.”
Valiance Online is now leaving pre-alpha and the team is making sure that pillars such as character creation, gameplay, content, and atmosphere keep getting enough attention for a later release on Steam Early Access.
In case you didn't know, Valiance Online appeared as a reaction to beloved superhero MMO City of Heroes shutting down in 2012 and is now fully in development, considered a proper spiritual successor. You can read more about the alpha plans and free-to-play reveal here.
