Battle Royale Ring of Elysium is now available

Are PUBG and Fortnite Battle Royale finally about to get some real competition? Is Tencent's Battle Royale game Ring of Elysium the one capable to face the might of the two leading games in the genre?

Well, you tell us. Ring of Elysium is now available on Steam and it's a free-to-play game, so there is no harm in trying it if you're in North America. However, we managed to notice that European players are out of luck for now – you won't even be able to access the Steam page. The European version is coming soon to all EU territories, according to Tencent, with localization support and multiple languages. Oh, alright, we forgive you, but don't take too long!

Ring of Elysium is known for its dynamic weather systems that actually affect gameplay. The snowy map is a playground where players have to battle one another, but also hypothermia, avalanches and snowstorms – you can even trigger an avalanche and watch as it dramatically swipes the players down below.

Ring of Elysium seems to feature quite some depth, with several types of vehicles at your disposal, including snowboarding, hang-gliding and the possibility of climbing with an ice ax. In the end of the match, there won't be one winner, but four, as the rescue helicopter is capable of saving four players.
