Trion Worlds has announced the closed beta date for its Minecraftian sandbox RPG Trove – September 25, 2014 is the day when some lucky players will get to try the game, as long as they have a key or bought a Founder's Pack. Those with a Founder's Pack will get access as well as a bunch of bonus, including a Raptor Pet, a Trove sword and other things.
Trove is still in alpha testing and while it doesn't look exactly stunning – personally I think the art style of the similar Cube World is way more compelling than Trove's – there's hope that the building and gameplay will be on par with the best of the genre.
