News:

Kingdom Under Fire 2 experience beta test this week
After many years in development, Kingdom Under Fire 2 is finally around the corner. The first beta test begins this week, for a few lucky players. The experience Beta Test will begin on January 23 and runs until January 26. Before the beta there’s a pre character creation event running during January 21 and 22. Expect some events during the beta with some rewards, but be prepared for a few bugs and missing features – after all, it’s the first beta. Kingdom Under Fire 2 is a action RPG and RTS hybrid that allows you to fight in the battlefield with your hero in third-person view as well as commanding your troops in a bird’s eye view.

ArcheAge mostly translated to English, internal alpha ongoing
Finally! We have some uplifting news on the western version of ArcheAge, the sandbox MMORPG which many players are excitedly waiting for. What Trion revealed was that the English localization is going along fine, with most of the game already translated to English and 80% of the User Interface readable. Much of the quest text is also translated. There’s a Friends and Family Alpha happening at Trion, which means the game is already in a sort of testing stage. When the key aspects are up and running, a public alpha phase will begin. There’s still no word on the business model, although the studio seems to like the approach that Rift is taking. Could this be the first hint that ArcheAge will include a free to play option in the West? On a related note, Blade and Soul and Phantasy Star Online 2 are still a big mystery as far as US and Europe versions are concerned.

Dragon Nest Warriors revealed
Do you desperately want to see the first Dragon Nest 2 footage? Well, you’re out of luck, but hey, here’s Dragon Nest Warriors for you. Something of a low profile game, Dragon Nest Warriors is an upcoming side-scrolling action MMORPG that is exclusive to China for the time being. The beta should be live by now and while you’ll probably dismiss this as an Elsword Online wannabe, it looks good for what it is, a browser-based game. Once again, we have to stress that this is not Dragon Nest 2, a game that is going to be open world and feature realistic graphics, far from the anime visuals from the original.

‘Find the Game’ Quiz

A lot of players are expecting this game, although this isn’t exactly the most popular genre, to say the least. The final part of a well regarded trilogy, this game is still shrouded in mystery and hopefully it won’t sink. The first one to write the answer in the comments (here or on our YouTube channel) will see his or her name featured in the next Free to Play Unlimited episode.

Most Wanted: Skyforge

Any game that merges the talent of the Allods Online studio with Obsidian Entertainment’s storytelling ability deserves our attention. Skyforge is that game and is in development since 2010. While Obsidian’s involvement was announced in May 2013, there’s not really much to sink our teeth into besides some nice concept art. According to the Russian FAQ, Skyforge is going to be free-to-play and features 15 classes. It’s going to be very different from Allods Online, with the concept art showing a beautiful fantasy world. Don’t expect action combat though, the game should resort to the familiar targeting system.Skyforge has no release date or new footage to show, but hopefully 2014 will be the year when it will make considerable progress.
