Black Prophecy is shutting down

The curtain is going down for Black Prophecy. The gamigo free-to-play space simulator is shutting down on September 26th, 2012, nearly a year and a half after release. No specific details we’re given, but we bet it has something to do with the crowded F2P segment and the fact that Black Prophecy was somewhat destined to a niche audience.

Players won’t be able to purchase KK$, the Black Prophecy in-game cash currency, but those who purchased in the past 6 months and still have some in their account will receive an email with a voucher code that can be applied with any other gamigo title, such as Black Prophecy Tactics: Nexus Conflict.

Enjoy your final weeks in Black Prophecy. If you’re a big fan of space simulators you can always see if Battlestar Galactica Online and Star Trek Online are able to scratch your itch.
