Born to Fire shoots into closed beta

Born to Fire, a free-to-play FPS published by Aeria Games has gone into closed beta testing, providing the perfect action fix for adrenaline junkies.

Born to Fire is a full-featured team-based shooter with colorful characters who never take the battle too seriously. Players have access to five distinct classes, each with unique weaponry and styles of play. Fleet-footed Dual Gunners, for instance, move around quickly and skirmish with their twin submachine guns, while also serving the role of medic to injured teammates. The hulking Point Man, conversely, absorbs a massive amount of damage with his riot shield and provides cover for more offensive-minded allies like Rangers, Snipers, and Heavyfire Experts.

Adding to Born to Fire’s hefty arsenal of features is its robust replay capability. Players can view their past matches at any time, and are not just restricted to one player’s perspective. A free-floating camera is able to view the match from any angle, allowing players to pick out the best hiding spots and develop winning strategies for future battles. With over a dozen maps available and more coming soon, replays will be invaluable to competitive players. Moreover, replays can also be saved as common .AVI files so players can share their most exciting matches with anyone – including friends who don’t yet have the game installed.
