EA Sports reveals free-to-play FIFA World, but a small world

EA Sports just announced a new and unexpected entry in the FIFA series called FIFA World. This PC exclusive will be free-to-play but there's a catch and a major one – the game will only be available in Russia and Brasil. Apparently the justification is that gamers don't have access to a console to play the main FIFA series, so it's unclear if FIFA World will ever reach other countries.

FIFA World will include over 30 leagues and 600 clubs, all licensed. The Russian Football Premier League and 19 clubs from Brazil are part of the selection. Although you can expect something close to the usual FIFA gameplay, FIFA World's focus is the Ultimate Team mode. The game is scheduled for November 2013 and Brazilian and Russian players may already register for the closed beta on the official FIFA World website.
