Ubisoft just announced the inclusion of pet companions in the free-to-play hack'n'slash RPG The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot. The available pets are a dragon, a hamster in a ball (yes!), a spider and certainly the oddest of them all, a squid tentacle in a bucket.
The pet will follow you around and while you decimate entire armies, it will gather loot, gold and life force for you. It's mighty nice of it to do so, especially considering how difficult it must be for a hamster in a ball to actually collect anything.
The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot is now in open beta and you can play it for free here. Watch the pet announcement trailer below.
