Ubisoft announces 3 free-to-play MMO games




Ubisoft revealed during Gamescom 2012 not one, not two, but three new free-to-play MMOs based on a couple of their somewhat popular franchises Anno and Might and Magic. All of the games are browser-based.

Anno Online




Anno Online is based on the real-time strategy franchise and lets players build and develop big medieval cities. By providing to the needs of the population, players will earn access to new buildings and ultimately discover new islands, creating trade routes between them. A new feature in the series is the option to join a massive empire and enter a guild to accomplish common goals and larger quests. The official site is live at http://www.anno-online.com/.

Might & Magic Heroes Online




Might & Magic Heroes Online is a free-to-play strategy MMORPG game in which players control powerful heroes and their armies as they do battle throughout the fantasy world of Ashan. Players are able to customize their heroes and face several challenges, in a mix of strategy and role-playing. It’s possible to join other heroes and arrange the creatures as desired to create a powerful army for the turn-based combat. More info at http://www.mm-heroesonline.com/.

Might & Magic Raiders

Set in the Might & Magic universe, Might & Magic Raiders is a free-to-play action RPG that looks a lot like Torchlight at first, with its cartoon graphics and spell effects, and seems to be aimed at a more casual crowd. Players will be able to choose from 4 different classes, each one having their own characteristics and abilities. There’s a co-op mode and gameplay sessions should take about 20 minutes.
