World of Warships: first developer diary released, still no submarines

Wargaming.net is currently very tight lipped on World of Warships but today the studio decided to release the first developer diary for this highly anticipated naval warfare MMO game. It's over 5 minutes of talking about the game, how the game is naturally slower-paced than World of Tanks – which isn't a fast-paced game per se – and the types of ships you'll be able to use and how they engage the enemy: aircraft carriers, battleships, cruisers, and destroyers. Once again it's explained why submarines won't be in the game – it doesn't fit with the gameplay and wouldn't work with the game, despite the historical importance of submarines in World War II.

World of Warships is the third part of Wargaming's military saga, following World of Tanks and World of Warplanes.
