Dropzone is switching to free-to-play on April 12

Dropzone is going to step into free-to-play territory next week, April 12 to be precise. This cool MOBA from Sparkypants Studios and Gameforge will be available for everyone to play, and it definitely needs a player boost to keep relevant in the arena, as the numbers are far from great. Dropzone was built from scratch as a free-to-play game despite being up for purchase in Steam Early Access, so let's hope the mechanics are fair to all players.

Dropzone is also getting a bit patch and with it comes a 3v3 mode, which apparently is the feature that the community requested the most. You and two friends will fight three human enemies or the AI in a 15-minute match, and this should be a great mode to learn your way around. Ranked play is also coming as well as a party system, among other things.
