Try again: LEGO Minifigures Online revealed by Funcom

Age of Conan Unchained and The Secret World developer Funcom just revealed a new MMORPG and one that is quite unexpected, given the track record of the Norwegian studio. LEGO Minifigures Online is aimed at kids but adults can also try this free-to-play MMORPG that follows in the footsteps of LEGO Universe, a game that didn't had much luck.

In LEGO Minifigures Online, players will be able to explore several worlds with thousands of other players. Pirate World, Space World and Medieval World are just a few of the options. Almost 100 hundred minifigures will be available to play with, battling, collecting and developing. The game seems to have a bigger focus in combat than in building, and there are also several quests to accomplish.

LEGO Minifigures Online is scheduled for the second half of 2014 for Android, iOS and PC and is free-to-play, according to a first look on Rock, Paper, Shotgun. No details were revealed on the business model, but we can only assume that some figures will be only accessible by purchase.
