Transformers Universe is now a MOTA, launches summer 2014

It's been a while since we last heard from Transformers Universe, the browser-based MMORPG at the works by RuneScape developer Jagex. Meanwhile, over a dozen employees were laid off from the development team and things weren't looking too bright.

But now we finally know what's going on with this game, which went through a massive revamping process -it's not an MMO anymore, but a MOTA. That's correct, a MOTA, which stands for Massively Online Tactical Arena game. As you may recall, Ubisoft is calling EndWar Online a Tactical Multiplayer Online Arena, so should we call it a TMOA? Anyway, the new Transformers Universe is said to feature fast-paced, Autobots versus Decepticons tactical action suited for both casual and experience players alike. The first in-engine trailer will be released “very soon” and Transformers Universe is expected to launch this summer.

Does Transformers Universe just sound like a regular MOBA to you or is the new MOTA acronym suited?
