Start your weapons: Crossout enters closed beta today

The post-apocalyptic free-to-play online action game Crossout has just started closed beta today. Developed by Targem Games (Star Conflict) with the helping hand of Gaijin Entertainment (War Thunder), Crossout is this armored vehicle combat game that will probably remind you a lot of Mad Max.

In the closed beta, players will get to battle “on the outskirts of desolated cities, abandoned factories, in the desert and on a brand new map — Founders Canyon”. Scrap metal and parts collected from battles will allow players to build extremely powerful vehicles called Leviathans.

You can sign up for a chance at getting a key on the official Crossout website, or you can jump right in by purchasing one of the early access packs – there are three available, offering different perks such as “unique vehicles and portraits, rare paint and patterns, as well as in-game currency (coins).” All players who participated in the previous battle tests will be able to participate in the closed beta.

Here's the Crossout closed beta announcement trailer.
