Fortnite hits 20 million players, can’t imagine the bodycount

Another day, another round of ‘thank yous' from Epic Games. The reason is obviously another milestone for Fortnite, this time 20 million players.

This number includes Fortnite Early Access purchasers and all of the registered players (Fortnite Battle Royale is free, as you surely know already). PvE and PvP, if you prefer to see it that way. The amount of players in this game is quite impressive and while we don't have official numbers, we're betting that Battle Royale is taking the larger piece of the pie. After all, with ten million Battle Royale players in only two weeks, that is what it looks like.

On the other hand, if you prefer the PvE part of Fortnite, you have to wait until early 2018, when the game will release as free-to-play.
