MapleStory 2 global service closure revealed for May 27

MapleStory 2 global service closure

Nexon has announced the MapleStory 2 global service closure for May 27, 2020. Once a much-desired game that took its time to land on the western shores, MapleStory 2 is now bidding farewell to players with a few in-game events.

While Nexon was trying to breathe new life into MapleStory 2 with the development of Project New Leaf, the team ultimately decided that it wouldn't be able to “provide the type of service that would live up to your expectations.” The current state of the game and the roadmap were scrutinized, and the decision was that it would be difficult to continue supporting the game in the long run.

Starting today, you won't be able to purchase Blue Merets and Meso Tokens, and refunds will be granted to those who qualify. On May 27, the MapleStory 2 servers, Discord, forums, and website will be closed, and on June 26 the customer support will end. You can check all the refund conditions here.
