Unlike many other games coming from China, Taiwan, and Korea (funny enough, countries where this game is already available), Date A Live: Spirit Pledge is getting a global release. This means that gamers in North America, Europe, and other regions will have access to the game.

But let's get straight to the point. The Date A Live: Spirit Pledge global release date is July 26, 2020. The devs say that this is simultaneously the open beta and official release, clearing things up by saying “For those who are still asking, OBT literally is the same as the official release in our case!”

Date A Live: Spirit Pledge global had a first come, first served short closed beta limited to 1000 players. The official release is going to open up the game to a much larger community, with players unlocking and leveling up Angels, the weapons used by Spirits in Date A Live. There's a skill tree that is allegedly going to be massive, hundreds of combos to use during the fighting stages, and a lot more.

As it usually happens in these games, the anime graphics during the action phase are somewhat chibi, but the 2D character artwork is outstanding. The promise of many costumes to unlock and use is a strong one, and fans of the anime will surely love to know that the voice actors reprise their roles for the game.

It must be said that the fighting doesn't look bad either, making for a nice change of pace from your usual slow-pace auto-play gacha games.
