The main character that you will be played in Honkai: Star Rail. In the beginning of the game, Kafka with the help of Silver Wolf activated their receptacle, awakening them to the real world where they woke up inside the Herta Space Station during the invasion of the Antimatter Legion.

As the head of Herta Space Station’s security department, Honkai: Star Rail’s Arlan is one of the most caring characters that you might want to consider getting. Even tho Arlan has no mastery in scientific research, but as the head security, Arlan is willing to risk his life to protect the staff who value research so very much. He is used to the pain and wears his scars like badges of honor.

For a dog person, the other reason you might want to get Arlan is that Arlan will lower down his guard and he’ll let a rare smile appear when he’s holding the dog, Peppy.

As the commander of the Silvermane Guards and the heir to the Supreme Guardian of Belobog, she holds an important role that could change the tide of Belobog’s future.

From an early age, Bronya already received rigorous education and possesses the grace and affinity as expected of an heir. However, after witnessing the abysmal conditions in the Underworld, seeds of doubt began growing in Belobog's future leader's mind.

With all the training that Bronya had received, will it really help her to lead the people in Belobog to live the lives that they seek?

Honkai: Star Rail’s Clara is a shy young girl and was also orphaned at an early age. Thus, she had no choice but to join the prospectors to survive. One time, she inadvertently reactivated an ancient mech named Svarog. When Svarog asked Clara what is the thing that she wishes for most, Clara answered with “to have a family”.

With Honkai: Star Rail’s Svarog as the leader of the self-servicing prospectors to protect the underworld city in Belobog and the fact that Svarog will only listen to Clara, Clara is also one of the key characters inside Honkai: Star Rail’s main plot that will impact the future of Belobog’s underworld city.

Honkai: Star Rail’s Dan Heng is one of the free playable characters that we will get immediately when we played the game. Based on the plot itself, the main character directly have interaction with Dan Heng and March 7th during the introduction of the story. Thus, for those Dan Heng worshippers, you can enjoy looking at Dan Heng in 360 angles however you like early in the game.

In the lore itself, Dan Heng is a calm, cold, and reserved man that used “Cloud-Piercer”, the spear that he wields to fight alongside his team. In his adventure, his role acts as the train’s guard alongside the trailblaze adventure.

What makes Dan Heng reliable is his observation ability to observe his surrounding, and his calm personality also makes him able to create an open door despite they might be in a dead-end situation.

So far, Dan Heng is one of the mysterious characters that never reveals a lot about his past. As the matter of fact, Dan Heng actually joined the crew of the Express train because he want to run away from his own past. But, will this decision haunt him one day soon? Only time will help us to answer this mystery about Dan Heng’s past.

Gepard Landau

Honkai: Star Rail’s Gepard Landau is the captain of the Silvermane Guards who belongs to the noble Landau family in Belobog, and is responsible for the city's defenses and maintains peace.

As Belobog is a city that is attacked by blizzards most of the time, leading the army for defense purposes is more challenging compared to the attack purposes. But, under Gepard’s leadership, Silvermane Guards were able to create an unbreakable iron defense of the Union despite being in the hard blizzard-battered city of Belobog.

Since Gepard is part of Landau family, he is the younger brother of Serval Landau. Sometimes, he is ridiculed by his sister and aide for his ever-scrupulous manner, but no one can deny that the people of Belobog have been able to maintain peace and comfort even with eternal winter on its doorstep.

Thanks to Gepard’s protection, the city can carry on with its ordinary daily routine.

Herta

Honkai: Star Rail’s Herta is the master of the eponymous Herta Space Station, who appears in the form of a puppet she modeled after her younger self. But, the similarity about how she looked like a child in a form of a puppet is only about 70% in similarity.

Since she is the human with the highest IQ in The Blue, nobody doubts her ability to become the master of the Space Station. But, she only does what she's interested in, dropping whatever project immediately the moment she loses interest — the best example being the space station.

Himeko

Honkai: Star Rail’s Hook is the leader of The Moles adventure squad. If you are with Hook, you better call her Pitch-Dark Hook the Great, because she’s the real boss of The Moles. Despite still being young, she’s actually one of the key characters inside Honkai: Star Rail too. There are a lot of adventures awaiting you here, and you need to find out yourself all kind of experiences that you’ll encounter together with Hook and The Moles.

Honkai: Star Rail’s Kafka is part of the Stellaron Hunters member. She is calm, collected, and beautiful. She’s one of Interastral Peace Corporation’s wanted list. But people only know two things about her, one of them is her name, and one of them is her hobby. Thus, on the wanted list, they only state her name and this single sentence: “Likes collecting coats.”

There is no other lead about Kafka’s background at the moment, other than that she is one of Destiny’s Slave Elio’s most trusted members. Maybe one day, we will know more about who is Elio and why Kafka became one of Interastral Peace Corporation’s wanted list.

Luocha

Honkai: Star Rail’s Luocha is a blond-haired handsome young man who carries a coffin on his back. Currently there is no background story yet about why Luocha always carry a coffin on his back. But we have a slight lead about his character introduction, as a member of the intergalactic merchant guild, he was unfortunately caught in the Xianzhou Luofu's Stellaron crisis. Somehow, his superb medical skills are sure to be of use.

Maybe one day we will know how did he got caught in the crisis and who are the other members of the intergalactic merchant guild, and how Luocha can get to know them all.

Honkai: Star Rail’s March 7th is a clever, quirky girl who is enthusiastic about all things girls her age are enthusiastic about. She travels with the Express, always bringing along her camera with the belief that one day she will be able to take a photo of something related to her past.

She was found in a piece of drifting eternal ice and freed by the Astral Express Crew.

When she awoke, she couldn't remember anything about herself or her past. Though initially feeling dejected about this lack of identity, she decided to name herself after the date of salvation. And thus, on that day March 7th was born.

The background about the reason why she was found in a piece of eternal ice is still a mystery, just the same as how we don’t know much about Dan Heng’s background story yet. But, since March 7th is also one of the important characters that accompany Dan Heng and us the main character, maybe we will find the answer that lies in planet Belobog itself.

Natasha

Honkai: Star Rail’s Natasha is a fastidious doctor who always wears a curious smile. In the Underworld where medical resources are few and far between, Natasha is one of the very few doctors whom the people can turn to.

Even the rambunctious Hook would politely greet her… “Hi, Auntie Natasha.”

Natasha is also another important key character in Honkai: Star Rail. As you progress through the story, meeting Natasha will also uncover the background story about things that happened in the underworld.

Pela

Never judge the book by the cover. Honkai: Star Rail’s Sampo described that sentence really well. A silver-tongued salesman, where there is profit to be made, you can be sure Sampo is nearby. Sampo's unique knowledge makes it hard not to approach him for help, but becoming his “customer” is not necessarily a good thing. After all, “customers” can quickly turn into “commodities” for the right price. Nevertheless, Sampo is actually one of the trusty wildfire members, and he’s actually one of the important characters besides Natasha too.

You will never expect what are the things that Sampo will do to you. Sampo is one of the very “random” characters that you can encounter in Honkai: Star Rail. Is it a bad thing? Not really. You might even like Sampo after you progress through the stories. But can you really trust Sampo with his silver-tongued wordings? Or do you need to be very careful to be near Sampo?

Never judge Sampo by his appearance, you did it once and you might gonna change your mind later on.

Seele

If you play Honkai Impact 3rd, you might have an idea about which “young girl” met Seele that day and it changed her vision of the world. As the valiant key member of the Wildfire just like Natasha and Sampo, Seele is also one of the important characters in Honkai: Star Rail that will help you understand more about the things that happen in the underworld. Serval Landau

Honkai: Star Rail’s Welt is the wise and sophisticated former Anti-Entropy Sovereign who inherits the name of the world — Welt. He has saved Earth from annihilation time and time again.

After the calamity ended, the heavy burden ordained by fate to Welt had been removed for a time, and he became an animation storyboard artist. However, after the conspiracy with St. Fountain came to a close, Welt had no choice but to venture with the initiator of the incident to the other side of the space portal. Perhaps even he didn't expect the new journey and companions that awaited him.
