Path of Exile Mobile Release Date

The announcement of Path of Exile Mobile was quite surprising. It's not everyday that you see a developer trying to port such a colossal PC game to a more limited device. However, there are a few things that make us confident that Grinding Gear Games is able to pull this one off and become an even more respected studio in the process. But first, we need to know the Path of Exile Mobile release date to learn when we can get our hands on this anticipated game.

Instead of outsourcing Path of Exile Mobile to a third-party studio and move on, Grinding Gear Games is taking care of the game itself. Development is being handled in-house, with members that made the original PC hack and slash RPG working on the port. The core gameplay loop is expected to be similar to Path of Exile, but the experience is fine-tuned for portable devices.

When Path of Exile Mobile was announced during the first ever ExileCon in November 2019, it was said that the team was working on an experimental version for mobile devices. This means that the game was in early development stages, so the Path of Exile Mobile release date is still a long way off.

However, Grinding Gear Games is hoping to have a Path of Exile Mobile playable version by the end of 2020. This will hopefully be a beta version, but details are scarce.

Here are the Path of Exile Mobile launch dates as we know so far:

  • Playable version (likely closed beta): Q4 2020
  • ETA: late 2021

We'll keep updating this post when Grinding Gear Games releases more Path of Exile Mobile news and updates. There is potential for this game to become the best mobile loot-based action RPG ever, so don't let it out of your sight.
