Dauntless enters closed beta today, feel the thrill of the hunt

Dauntless enters closed beta

The highly anticipated monster hunting online co-op action RPG Dauntless has just entered closed beta today. This PC exclusive is developed by Phoenix Labs and tries to offer a challenging and addictive take on slayer versus behemoth. This closed beta will be used by the developers to improve the game and expand on it with regular updates: you can expect more behemoths, weapons and armor, story expansions and more. If you want to join in right now, you should go check the Founder's packs.

Dauntless focuses on the huge co-op fights, but it's also a game about crafting, with a system that will see players create a vast arsenal of customized weapons and armor. Some behemoths are vulnerable to specific kinds of weapons, so you'll have to play with that. Up to four players will take on each behemoth.

“The Founder’s Alpha has been an inspirational experience for everyone here at Phoenix Labs. We’ve been collaborating with community, iterating on feedback, and improving Dauntless every day.” said Jesse Houston, Co-Founder and Executive Producer, Phoenix Labs. “Dauntless is a living game that we’ll be continuing to evolve, grow and expand through Closed Beta, Open Beta and beyond. Today’s Closed Beta launch marks the beginning of an amazing journey we’ll be taking with the Dauntless community for years to come.”

Dauntless will be available later this year as a free-to-play game for everyone to download on PC.
