Final Fantasy Type-0 Online announced for PC and mobile, western release possible

Square Enix has announced at TGS 2015 a new Final Fantasy game for iOS, Android and Windows PC called Final Fantasy Type-0 Online. This game is scheduled for 2016 in Japan and a North America and Europe release is “being considered“.

Final Fantasy Type-0 Online is set in a parallel world to the original Final Fantasy Type-0 and is being developed by Perfect World China, with Square Enix providing some help. Type-0 Online is going to be free-to-play, with optional items available for purchase as it usually is the case.

Director Hajime Tabata mentioned that this game is the evolution of Agito, which is going to end service in November 2015. Featuring a multiplayer hack-and-slash gameplay, Type-0 Online already has a teaser site and the announcement trailer can be watched below.
