Gigantic’s Season of Souls update adds new hero and new map

The Season of Souls update for the action MOBA Gigantic is now live on Steam, Arc, Windows 10 and Xbox One, with a new hero and new map.

The new hero is a very shady figure. Ezren Ghal is a necromancer who just loves to steal souls in combat and trade them for powerful abilities. For the first time we get a brand new map, called Ember Grove, with elements that favor verticality. Here is the official description:

“A dense and mysterious forest, this new map is inhabited by towering timbers, magical mushrooms, and bugwitch bungalows. Players will fight over two friendly points, two enemy points, two neutral points, and one enemy-only point with pathways that funnel the action.”

Here are some of the other features from the Season of Souls update:

• Player Icons – All players now have the ability to choose their account icons and show their own unique style. Additionally, Founders can now show their status as early supporters of the game with exclusive icons.

• Hero Confirm Text Chat – By community request, chat has been extended to the hero confirmation phase, allowing teams to strategize their hero composition before locking it in.

• Ezren Ghal Skins – Several customization options for the new hero are now available in the shop, including the Opulent Robes skin, color variants and Eternal skins for players looking to show off their mastery of the wretched reaper.

• Other Features – Improved bot matches, shop UI updates and new Hero interactions in battle.
