Xbox’s Phil Spencer says that Phantasy Star Online 2 is coming to PS4 and Switch

Phantasy Star Online 2 PS4 Switch

The reveal of Phantasy Star Online 2 at E3 2019 was one of the most surprising announcements, with SEGA and Microsoft bringing the game to Xbox One and PC by early 2020. But Phil Spencer, President of Xbox, told Giant Bomb that the game will “end up on all platforms.” Watch that bit at 40:40 in the video below.

This means that Phantasy Star Online 2 will be a timed exclusive on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, featuring cross-play. While Phil Spencer wasn't exactly clear about the platforms in question, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch are the ones that instantly come to mind, possibly by 2021. IGN has a list of platforms where Phantasy Star Online 2 will allegedly release and it even includes… an iOS version? Wait, what?

Only North American players will be able to play Phantasy Star Online 2 in 2020, since SEGA has revealed that players in Europe, Middle East and Africa will have to wait for further news.
