Do you remember last year's lawsuit filed by PUBG Corp against NetEase over the latter's Battle Royale games Knives Out and Rules of Survival? NetEase subsequently filed a countersuit mentioning a “shameless attempt” at genre monopoly.
Now, it looks like the two companies have reached an agreement and are moving on. According to MacArthur Law Firm (via GamesIndustry) Both the suit and countersuit are now settled. No details were disclosed and the future of the games Knives Out and Rules of Survival is unclear, as well as any eventual changes to the game – frying pans were one of the focus of this heated debate.
PUBG Corp, makers of the worldwide Battle Royale hit Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, eventually chose to sue Epic Games and Fortnite Battle Royale as well. This lawsuit ended up being dropped without much fanfare.
