The Day Online has just entered Early Access on Steam and you can jump in right now, as the game is free-to-play. Developed by Reloaded Studios, this game actually has a (not so) funny story behind its development: it was in development as an MMORPG several years ago simply as The Day, but now, it opens its doors to the public as a third-person MOBA game. Looking at the trailer below, I can see some of these futuristic environments working nicely as a full-fledged MMORPG – given the necessary work, of course -, but The Day Online is pretty much a MOBA now.
Powered by CryEngine, The Day Online is said to minimize the hassles of early-game farming and building, providing a speedy combat system without any sight of a mana system whatsoever. There are three unique battle arenas (or should I say game modes) for you to try: Resource Battle, Downtown and Survival.
