MMORPG Warhammer Odyssey gets first trailer, it’s no walk in the park

MMORPG Warhammer Odyssey

When the MMORPG Warhammer Odyssey was announced last August, we didn't really pay much attention. After all, it's another mobile MMO and we all know how those usually go. Even if there's some quality to them, the auto-combat, auto-pathing, and other auto-thingies will try to steer you in one direction only: the in-game shop.

But not all games are like that, and hopefully Warhammer Odyssey will be one of the good guys. In development at Virtual Realms, the first gameplay footage was just released and it doesn't look half-bad. Sure, it's just a stroll through different regions of the Old World, but it looks really decent as far as mobile MMORPGs are concerned.

The game is in a pre-alpha state, which means that launch is still several months away. Before that, we'll surely get new trailers where we can see if the gameplay has potential or if it's another bog-standard mobile MMO. It's off to a good start, at least: the devs promise that there will be no auto-play in the MMORPG Warhammer Odyssey, so it looks like players will have to… gasp… actually play the game.
