Veterans Online update brings mini-map, weapon zoom and chat

Nuked Cockroach has released a new set of features for their upcoming top-down shooter Veterans Online.

The new stuff, as the studio calls it, includes a mini-map, very handy to see where you are and where you're going. There's also chat, so you can catch up with your fellow soldiers, and a couple of zoom functions: zoom in if you're using a close range weapon such as a shotgun, and zoom out when using long range weapons.

The bad news? Veterans Online was supposed to be in open beta since last March, but it was delayed due to server issues and there's still no new date.
