Warface goes to Chernobyl with new special mission

Warface Chernobyl

We can't hide the fact that we have a soft spot for the STALKER series and everything related to Chernobyl. So, when we saw the latest Warface announcement, fist pumps happened. Publisher My.com and developer Crytek revealed a new special mission set in Pripyat, the most known city of the Chernobyl exclusion zone. The plan is to release this mission late 2017, as well as to provide the most ambitious mission in what both graphic realism and narrative are concerned.

This special operation set in Pripyat will features the oppressive, almost post-apocalyptic setting that always gives us chills. German developer Crytek even visited Pripyat several times to best capture the feeling of being in this eerie place. The Pripyat is also going to include new enemies and bosses.

“Pripyat is an infamously dangerous place, and now we will give players a chance to find themselves right in the heart of this abandoned city. Once this special operation goes live, it will mark an important milestone in both Warface’s gameplay and plot and will set the stage for a whole series of future plot-related updates”, said Michael Khaimzon, creative director of Crytek. “In other words, Pripyat launches a new era in Warface, and our players should be ready for the disclosure of many plot details and secrets.”
