Age of Wulin is returning to its mother base

Let's get straight to explaining this somewhat cryptic headline: Age of Wulin is returning to its developer and publisher Snail Games, after four years in the hands of Webzen, the European publisher. Snail Games publishes this game in North America under its original name Age of Wushu – don't ask us why it was changed to Age of Wulin in Europe – and will now take control of the EU version starting July 11, 2017.

If you're playing the European version and worried about the fate of your character, then worry no more, as Snail Games has the solution:

“During the maintenance on the 10th of May, Snail Games will apply a patch which will introduce a new NPC to the game. The name of the NPC is “Account Transfer Ambassador”, and you will be able to find him in 2 locations: Chengdu 917 552 and Suzhou 330 743. This NPC has the sole purpose of registering your character for a transfer. The NPC will accept your reservation for transfer from the 10th of May until the 4th of July. On the 4th of July (1 week before the publisher change), the reservation functionality will be deactivated. Every character that fails to reserve the transfer by this date will not be migrated into Age of Wushu.”

You can read the announcement to know all the steps for this transfer. Webzen didn't say why it had to return the publishing licence, but it may have something to do with the playerbase, as it usually does. Or maybe they're freeing up some staff to work on the upcoming MU Legend, which is going to enter open beta this summer.
