Swordsman and Jade Dynasty are shutting down in June

Swordsman Jade Dynasty canceled

Perfect World Entertainment is closing two of its games, two MMORPGs in fact: Swordsman and Jade Dynasty. These will be joined by Gigantic, a MOBA that is shutting down in July 2018.

The official announcements (they're pretty much the same for both games) mention “a very difficult decision to make”, and the servers for both Swordsman and Jade Dynasty will be shutdown on June 5, 2018.

You can no longer purchase Gold for Swordsman or Jaden for Jade Dynasty, and all your purchases from Februrary 1st, 2018 through May 1st, 2018 will be converted into Arc credit and deposited in your account, so you can use it in other Perfect World Entertainment games.

Swordsman was live during four years, while Jade Dynasty stayed online for nine years. Both games had some sort of sequels of spin-offs in development, not always coming to fruition, and the latest one is Swordsman X, currently in closed beta in China. And yes, it's a Battle Royale game. I'll be damned.
