Guild Wars 2 celebrates six years today, looks to the future of Living World

Guild Wars 2 living world future

Guild Wars 2 was released six years ago today! Time flies and ArenaNet is quite aware of all the things that they have created throughout the years, including the Living World content.

Since 2012, the studio has released 37 episodes of Living World spread across four seasons and ultimately doubling the size of Guild Wars 2. This added several new PvE raids and Fractal challenges, new story content and locations, and even new mounts such as the Roller Beetle from Season 4/Episode 3. Players also enjoyed 12o new music tracks added specifically for Living World, as well as over 650 achievements. However, ArenaNet is looking to the future and is already setting the scene for Season 5, as you can see in the video below.

A new Guild Wars 2 infographic was released to illustrate the work through the years, including the players' favorite mounts and biggest threat. A live stream is happening at 21:00 CEST on August 28 at Twitch.tv/GuildWars2 to celebrate the anniversary and will feature developer guests, interviews with Guild Wars 2’s voice actors, and more.
