Black Desert Mobile soft launch announced, no data wipe

Black Desert Mobile soft launch

After a few rounds of teasing and pre-registration benefits, the Black Desert Mobile soft launch has been announced. Pearl Abyss promised that the mobile version of Black Desert Online would release in Q4 2019, and that is indeed happening, although it comes with a few caveats.

The Black Desert Mobile soft launch is slated for October 24, 2019. However, it will only be available for Android devices and in English. But there's more – the release is only taking place in select countries, including Australia, Canada, Chile, Ireland, Malaysia, Turkey, and Sweden.

The good news is that there won't be a data wipe before global launch, which means that your progress from the soft launch will carry over.

Pearl Abyss is working on added localization for December, with languages such as French, German, Spanish, and more in the works.

While this isn't the greatest news for players in many countries who are eagerly expecting Black Desert Mobile, it is a start. It surely won't take long before the game expands to other regions, so make sure to pre-register if you didn't already.
