Genshin Impact talks housing, friends, and hugging Paimon

Genshin Impact talks housing

A new Genshin Impact community session covers some interesting topics. Will the developers have plans for the things that the players are asking? Let's find out as Genshin Impact talks housing, adding more friends and sandbox activities, among others.

One player said that it would be great if they could hug or grab the cute guide Paimon, to which the team replied that travelers and Paimon will have more interactions in the future. Another player wanted to see huge fields of flowers, something that makes sense considering the beautiful flora of Genshin Impact. This is also in planning.

As for hidden locations, this is something that is already in the works. Exploring the world of Teyvat and discovering harder to find locations will be one of the things coming soon. A home system has already been discussed in previous Genshin Impact Q&A's, and despite being in planning, it isn't yet confirmed.

The suggestion of a sixth sense ability that triggers hidden stories or quests is under consideration. Additional side quests in the cities are also under consideration, but who wouldn't want that?

Finally, a few things that aren't planned, such as adding friends from other servers. The miHoYo will consider this in the future design of the friend system, and the same applies to secondary professions, such as being a cook. A constellation system that buffs players was suggested but is not currently in the plans, and the idea of sandbox stuff was shot down with a “why not explore the existing wonders first?”

Genshin Impact was recently announced for PlayStation 4 and promoted at ChinaJoy 2019, where it resulted in a chaotic situation, with many Chinese players outraged at the similarities with Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The 2020 release is also planned for PC, Android and iOS.
