Shooter Crossfire X 2020

Smilegate has revealed Crossfire X for Xbox One. The sequel to one of the most popular first-person shooters in the world is coming to Xbox One first in 2020, but I wouldn't exclude a PC release in the future.

Crossfire X is not the same game as Crossfire HD. Remedy Entertainment is working on both games, mainly helping with the PvE campaign, but Crossfire HD is aimed at the China market.

Crossfire X, on the other hand, is a shooter powered by Unreal Engine 4 for Xbox One, featuring a single-player campaign as well as multiplayer modes. You get to choose between two private military factions: Global Risk and Black List, fighting across game modes with objective-based missions.

The original Crossfire boasts over 650 million registered players worldwide, most of them from China. If you check Superdata's top grossing titles report, you'll frequently see Crossfire sitting close to the top – for April 2019, it was in the fourth position, right above Fortnite and World of Tanks.

Smilegate is the developer of another one of our most anticipated games, the Diablo-like MMORPG Lost Ark.
