Juggernaut

PUBLISHER: Mail.Ru | DEVELOPER: IT Territory | GENRE: MMORPG
THEME: Fantasy | PLATFORM: Browser | STATUS: Final

Juggernaut is a free-to-play MMO game that can be played in a browser or downloaded to reduce loading times. Basically this is a 2D MMORPG with some 3D battle scenes unfolding in a small window, and one more game using the Unity engine, just like Battlestar Galactica Online or Need For Speed World. The player has to struggle to become the hero of Haradan, the game world that is overflowing with terrible creatures. Your typical “save the world” story that you see in thousands of games.

Juggernaut doesn’t excel in the originality department, since gameplay is mostly the same as in many other free MMO games. The player has to choose and customize a hero (male or female), equipping him with the best gear and completing missions to improve his attributes. Only when entering the battle screen things get slightly different. The 3D battle unfolds in the usual turn-based system, only with some cool animations and visual effects. There are no more than two characters fighting at the same time, and their moves and magic are represented in the bottom of the screen, just waiting for the player to choose them. They do tend to become repetitive and the slow pace of things isn’t stranger to that.

Fans of browser games can try Juggernaut and corroborate some of its qualities, since it turns out as a good evolution, albeit somewhat repetitive, of text-based games.
