WildStar free-to-play closed beta is now live
WildStar is now in closed beta, in preparation for the full free-to-play launch coming this fall. It’s kind of funny when a game that is being re-released has to go through a closed beta, but also understandable in this case considering that it went through some massive changes that weren’t solely related to the business model – things like a new instance, a revamped Arkship and a more in-depth character creation system. Those of you who still have an existing WildStar account and have signed up for a closed beta key are able to join right now, while the others have to sign up and hope for an invite.

Soul Worker: 3 new characters unveiled, more gameplay details
We have plenty of good stuff for Soul Worker Online, one of the most anticipated action MMOs that will probably take a lifetime to reach North America and Europe, if at all. While developer Lion Games has just introduced the fourth character, a female melee fighter named Howling Guitar, we recently discovered the identities of the remaining two characters: Hammer Stol and Spirit Arms. The first one is a girl that uses a massive energy cannon, while the second is apparently a brawler, judging by the mechanical attachments in his arms. Soul Worker is an action RPG that features crafting, a socket system, enchanting and more. The first Japanese closed beta runs from August 20 to August 23 and there’s still no news on a western release.

Skyforge: first major update Crucible of the Gods is now live
The first massive update for the sci-fi MMORPG Skyforge was recently released and now you finally can fulfill your destiny of becoming a god. Crucible of the Gods is the name of the update and besides adding activities with cool names such as Invasions, Raids, Distortions and Anomalies, it brings the ability for veteran players to unlock their mighty divine form. Another cool addition is Prestige Scaling, so that all your friends can join your group adventures no matter what Prestige level they are.

Tree of Savior developer brings back WolfKnights
While everyone is looking at IMC Games because of Tree of Savior, the Korean studio actually has another game in the making called Wolfknights. Wolfknights is a 3D MMORPG and MOBA hybrid that saw its development paused as the studio focused completely on the anticipated Tree of Savior. But now, with the retro MMORPG apparently in schedule, Wolfknights is back on track and there’s even a mention of a beta test. A few videos were also revealed, one of them showing the character creation and the rest focusing on some of the attack moves of each class. Unlike Tree of Savior, which has an English release confirmed, Wolfknights still hasn’t been announced for western territories.

‘Find the Game’ Quiz

This is a game for those that like to run. And run a lot. Preferably with plenty of obstacles in your way. You won’t be running in your regular race track, but on some popular fairy tale scenarios, so there’s also that. The first one to write the answer in the comments will see his name featured in the next Free to Play Unlimited episode.

Most Wanted: Crossout

For some reason, we can’t stop making connections between the latest Mad Max movie and the upcoming vehicular combat game Crossout. The timing just seems right to us. Crossout is co-developed by Gaijin Entertainment, of War Thunder fame, and the mix of building, customizing, driving and shooting is one with strange appeal. It brings fond memories of Twisted Metal but also of the awesome Robocraft game, only in a grittier, more realistic environment. The first gameplay trailer was proof that this game has enough depth to go beyond a simple gimmick and could lead to some truly crazy war machines battling in the arena.

The first battle test, which is a nice wordplay on beta test, is planned for the end of this week and will focus on multiplayer battles. If you didn’t get a spot you can sign up at the official website and hope for the best.
