Lost Ark open beta is live in Korea, no luck for western players

Lost Ark open beta is live in Korea

The Lost Ark open beta is live in Korea since yesterday, November 7. The highly anticipated action MMORPG developed by Smilegate is now available to everyone in a sort of soft-launch state.

Apparently Smilegate has recently reinforced measures against players from territories outside of Korea. In fact, you can't even access the official Lost Ark website anymore, as the recent update made it unavailable through regular means, and there are some extra verification requirements according to Rendermax.

Lost Ark was announced in late 2014 and is now released after over six years of hard work. It went through two focus group tests and three closed betas to finally reach this awaited milestone.

Lost Ark was for years touted as the Diablo MMORPG that we all have been waiting for – unless Diablo Immortal is the Diablo MMORPG that you have been waiting for, right?
