Is Genshin Impact Cross Save Between Every Platform?

With the Genshin Impact release date fast approaching, many players are jumping with excitement at the prospect of playing miHoYo's stunning open world anime RPG. This is going to happen starting September 28 for PC, PS4, and mobile owners, while Nintendo Switch gamers will have to wait a few more months. The big question now is which platform is going to be your main, considering that each one has its own advantages, and can you change between platforms as you wish? In other words, is Genshin Impact cross save?

Is Genshin Impact Progress Saved Across PC, PS4, Android, iOS, and Switch?

The answer to that question is yes, but… There is Genshin Impact cross save support, but only between PC, Android, and iOS. The PlayStation 4 version seems to be out of the picture for now, because the developers are yet to implement a system where you can log in with your miHoYo account. So far, you can only log into the PlayStation 4 version of Genshin Impact by using your PlayStation account, which means that your progress won't carry over to other platforms. Hey, perhaps that why PS4 players are getting some exclusive pre-registration rewards such as the Sword of Descension and Wings of Descension?

This doesn't mean that Genshin Impact PS4 won't support cross-save in the future. When – and if – MiHoYo account support is added into the game, console players will enjoy the benefits of cross save as well.

It's not all doom and gloom, however; there's Genshin Impact cross-play to keep gamers happily joining their friends' worlds, going on adventures together thanks to the presence of a cooperative online mode working across PC, PS4, and mobile, and most likely Nintendo Switch as well.

As for Genshin Impact Switch cross save, it's an uncertainty at this point. This is the last version to see a full release, and there's not much info doing the rounds, so we'll have to wait for an official confirmation.
